So it's been rather a while since I have managed to write anything. Let me explain.
No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
Summer, fall, winter off, job in spring, summer fall, off in winter, spring, summer, job in fall.
Okay, that's pretty short and sweet and leaves a hell of a lot out but that's okay.
The high points of the time have been being home with Rod and my menagerie, which has also changed in the last couple of years. We have added two more to the mix - Zooey, an odd little dog if I've ever seen one, we think is a cross between a British Springer Spaniel and a long-haired dachshund. She has tiny little legs that turn out at the front and a long, long body that can leap a four foot high staircase in a single bound if she's got enough speed going into it :)
Our other new addition was really, really new when he was brought home. One of Rod's drivers found a kitten in a crate when he was on a delivery job and brought him back to the shop. Rod was helpless in the face of tiny kitten whiskers and ears and especially the plaintive cries of a very hungry little boy. Rod named him Meep and we took him to the vet that night, before bringing him into the house, wanting to make sure that he posed no risk to the other animals. He was given a clean bill of health by the vet and we brought him home along with formula to feed him.
I've managed to knit quite a lot as well, lots and lots of socks, a cardigan, some shawls, and have managed to acquire a whole lot more yarn as well. I've come to the conclusion that I have to start really using the yarn I have - not that I haven't been, but my purchases have outstripped my knitting for a while now and my stash is epic. I have so many things I want to make and only so much time to knit. Dammit.
